Sanchez visits Morocco this Thursday

The President of the Spanish Government Pedro Sanchez will visit Morocco on Thursday April 7, 2022. On this occasion, King Mohammed VI will have official talks with Sanchez.

This official visit will mark the beginning of a new relationship between Madrid and Rabat, following the new Spanish position on the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara. Spain has decided to support the Kingdom’s autonomy plan for the Sahara. This trip will seal the final reconciliation after a long and deep crisis between the two countries.

“We are ending a diplomatic crisis” with Rabat, but “the most important thing is that we are laying the foundations for a much more solid, much stronger relationship with the Kingdom of Morocco”, Sanchez said recently during a trip in Sabta.
